Presentation of Physical Art (Paintings & Drawings)

Uncategorized Apr 04, 2025

Model Society is dedicated to celebrating human beauty as a work of art. While most of the artwork on our platform is photography, we also welcome drawing, painting, and other traditional figurative art forms that align with our fine art vision.

Please note that our scope for non-photographic media is quite limited. Not all applications are approved. The application process requires serious consideration, and we encourage you to carefully curate a selection of your most refined, fully realized work.

Please take a close look at the guidelines below to get a clear sense of what we're looking for.

COMPLETED, POLISHED ARTWORK.
We do not accept practice sketches, rough concepts, or unfinished pieces. All submissions must be fully completed works that reflect intention and artistic maturity.

HIGH-QUALITY PRESENTATION.
Scans or photos of artwork must be high-resolution, cleanly cropped, and free from any background elements that distract from the art. Poor lighting, tilted angles, and cluttered surroundings will disqualify otherwise good work.

STRONG FIGURATIVE FOCUS.
We are a platform dedicated to the human form as a subject of fine art. Submissions must feature the human body as the central subject. Abstracts, fantasy art, landscapes, animals, or decorative illustration styles are not within our scope.

FINE ART STYLIZATION.
We only approve work that demonstrates a fine art approach—balanced composition, intentional lighting and tone, and subject choice. We do not accept commercial, cartoon, comic, or pin-up styles or subjects.

RESPECTFUL IMAGES OF HUMANITY.
Respectful nudity (R-rated) is welcome, but not required. We do not allow "X"-rated content, including spread legs, erections, erotic self-touch, sexual contact, bodily fluids (other than sweat), or depictions of violence. See our full guidelines here

NO AI-GENERATED IMAGERY.
Only human-made artwork is accepted. Any account that uploads AI-generated images will be permanently banned.

Even though we appreciate all forms of creativity, we can only approve work that aligns with our specific artistic vision. Please take a close look at the examples and galleries above to be sure your work is a good fit.

Presentation of Physical Art (Paintings & Drawings)

If you are uploading traditional media (paintings, drawings, illustrations), the digital file must be a professional representation of the work.

  • Crop to the Art: The image must be cropped to the artwork's edges. We do not accept images that show frames, mats, walls, easels, or background environments.
  • No "In Situ" Snapshots: We do not accept photos of open sketchbooks, art lying on a table with pencils/brushes, or angled shots of paintings hanging on a wall.
  • Direct & Flat: The artwork must be scanned or photographed straight-on (no perspective distortion) with even lighting (no flash glare or shadows).
  • Finished Works Only: We welcome highly finished drawings and paintings. We do not accept rough sketches, doodles, or loose gesture studies unless they are presented as completed works.
